Is there a species specific or region specific type of plastids? How does one distinguish one from the other?

Explanation

(i) Distribution of plastids depends upon specific regions of the plants. Those parts of plant body which are not exposed to light e.g. roots, rhizomes and seeds, are colourless and without grana and chlorophyll and are called leucoplasts. These are mainly involved in storage of food e.g starch-storing amyloplasts, protein-storing aleuronoplasts and fat-storing elaioplasts.
But those parts of plants body which are exposed to light have coloured plastids e.g. those of mesophyll cells have photosynthetic pigments and are green coloured so are called chloroplasts. While those of flowers and fruits have some other pigments, and are called chromoplasts, and help in pollination and dispersal of fruits or seeds.
(ii) Types of plastids also depend upon the specific specificity of the plants e.g. C-plants have monomorphic chloroplasts (with grana) only in mesophyll cells of the leaves but chloroplasts are absent from bundle sheath cells. But C-plants show kranz anatomy and have two types of chloroplasts:
Agranal chloroplasts in bundle sheath cells and granal chloroplasts in mesophyll cells.
