`C_(4)` plants differ from `C_(3)` plants in having 'Kranz' type of anatomy. They have large parenchymatous sheath around vascular bundles Each cells of bundle sheath possess chloroplast. These chloroplasts are radially elongated. The mesophyll cell of leaves are not differentiated into palisade and spongy parenchyma. They have less intercellular spaces. The mesophyll cells possess normal chloroplasts.
