Solution 'X' is acidic in nature as it turns into orange when a drop of it falls on a pH paper. It pH value will be in the orange of 3 to 5 and is moderately acidic.
Solution 'Y' is basic in nature as it turns into blue colour when a drop of it falls on a pH paper. Its pH value ranges from 8 to 11 and is moderately basic.
