Let acceleration of mass centre relative to an inertial is `vec(a)_(c )`. Pseudo force on `I^th` particle of mass `m_i` in center of mass frame is `(-m_(i) vec(a)_(c ))`. Let displacement of Ith particle in a time interval is `Delta vec(r )_(i)` relative to the center of mass frame.
Total work of pseudo forces on all the particles in center of mass frame can now be expressed by the expression
`Sigma(-m_(i) vec(a)_(c )).Delta vec(r )_(i) = -vec(a)_(c).Sigma(m_iDelta vec(r )_(i))=-vec(a)_(c ).vec(0) = 0`

Pseudo force with respect to a frame moving with constant velocity is zero. Is this statement true or false?

Pseudo force is an imaginary force which is recognised only by a non-inertial observer to explain the physical situation according to newton’s laws. Magnitude of pseudo force Fp is equal to the product of the mass m of the object and the acceleration a of the frame of reference. The direction of the force is opposite to the direction of acceleration, F_(p)=-ma spring weighing machine inside a stationary lift reads 50 kg when a man stand on it. Assertion: If there are no external forces, the center of mass of a double star moves like a free particle. Reason: If we go to the center of mass frame, then we find that the two stars are moving in a circle about the center of mass, which is at rest.

Assertion: We can apply tau=I alpha about the centre of mass of the system in non-inertial frame of reference. Reason: Torque of pseudo forces about centre of mass is zero
