Explain law of multiple proportions with example:

This law states that "when two elements combine to form more than one compound. The mass of one element which combines with a fixed mass of the other element, bear a simple whole number ratio to one another.
For exmaple: carbon monoxide (CO and carbonadoed `CO_(2))`.
