What mass of sodium hydroxide must be dissovled in 500 mL of solution so that the strength of the solution may be 10 g/L ?

Strength of solution = 10 g/L = `10 gL^(-1)`
Volume of solution = 500 mL = 0.5 L
`therefore` Mass of NaOH (solute) = `(10 gL^(-1)) xx (0.5 L) = 5 g`
