The haemoglobin containing red coloured, non-nucleated corpuscle which carries oxygen is called erythrocyte. It is also termed as RBC or red blood corpuscle. RBC transport both `O_(2)` and `CO_(2)`.
The colourless, nucleated larger blood cells is called leucocytes. It is also termed as WBC or white blood corpuscles. They do not transport `O_(2)` and `CO_(2)` but help in body defence.
