Define isochoric process. What is the work done in such process?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If a closed thermodynamic system does not change its volume when it exchanges some energy with its environment, the process is known as an isochoric process. In this process, the volume V = constant , so, `dV = 0`.
Then, work done, `W = int pdV = 0` i.e., no work is done in such a process.
