The displacement of a moving object in a given interval of time is zero. Is the distance travelled by the object zero? Comment

Suppose an object moves from A to B a distance of 1 km on a straight road and then it comes to A from B.
Here, the displacement of the object is zero. The distance travelled by the object from A to Bis 1 km and from B to A is 1 km. i.e., the total distance travelled by the object is 2 km. So, eventhough the displacement is zero, the distance travelled is not zero.

Assertion: The magnitude of average velocity of the object over an interval of time is either smaller than or equal to the average speed of the object over the same interval. Reason: Path length (distance) is either equal or greater than the magnitude of displacement.
