Why does `Na_2CO_3` solution turn into a suspension, when saturated with `CO_2` gas ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

An aq, solution of `Na_(2)CO_(3)` when saturated with `CO_(2)` gives Sodium bicarbonate `(NaHCO_(3))`
`Na_(2)CO_(3)+H_(2)+CO_(2)to2NaHCO_(3)`
`Na_(2)CO_(3)` is less soluble compared to Sodium carbonate, herice suspension is formed.
