Why is `La(OH)_3` more basic than `Lu(OH)_3` ?

`La (OH)_3` is more basic than `Lu(OH)_3`. Due to lanthanoids contraction the size of Lanthonoids ion decrease regularly with increase in atomic size. As such `(Lu(OH)_3` has more covalent character than `La (OH)_3`, therefore `La (OH)_3` is more basic than `Lu(OH)_3`.
Due to Fajan Rule:
Basic Character `prop (1)/("Covalent bond")`
`prop` Greater will be polarisation.
`prop` Small size of cation
`prop` large of anions.
