Acetone forms bisulphite compound when h...

Acetone forms bisulphite compound when heated with sodium bisulphate whears di-tertiary butyl ketone fails to do so. Explain.

Di-tertiary butyl ketone `(CH_(3))_(3)C-overset(O)overset(||)C-C(CH_(3))_(3)` is a highly sterically hindered compound. The attack of `sHSO_(3)^(-)` (nucleophile) on the carbonyl group is not possible wheares it can readily take place in acetone.
