Discovery of Protons
During the 18th century for the first time, in the year 1815, the protons were discovered. It was when the English chemist William Prout has suggested the concept of the atoms that all of the atoms are made up of hydrogen atoms, and these are referred by him as protyles. And then later, it was when the canal rays were discovered by the German physicist known by the name of Eugen Goldstein during the year 1886. Then, it was examined that the charge to the mass ration of the hydrogen ion was the highest among all of the other gases. It is examined that the hydrogen ion was found to be having the smallest of the size among all the other ionized gases.
Ernest Rutherford has first discovered the nucleus of the atom during the year 1911, and it was in his famous gold foil experiment. He finally concluded that in the atom that is containing all the positively charged particles were actually concentrated in the singular core and that actually most of the volume of the atom was found to be empty. He further stated in this discovery that the total number of the positively charged particles present in the nucleus is directly equal to the total number of negatively charged electrons that are present around it.
