The precipitate of second group sulphides qualitatative analysis is carried oud with hydrogen in the presence of hydrochloric acid but not with nitric acid .Explain.

The precipitate of second group sulphides in qualitative anlysis is carried out with hydrogen sulphide in the presence of hydrochloride acid but not in mitric acid.
Nitric acid is a strong oxidising agent and oxides `H_(2)S` into S, So it cannot be used in the reaction involving hydrogen sulphide
