What will the minimum pressure required to compress `500 dm^3` of air at 1bar to `200 dm^3` at `30^@C`?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`p_1=1 ba r, p_2=?, V_1=500dm^3,V_2=200dm^3`
According to Boyle's law, `p_1V_1=p_2V_2`
`p_2=(p_1V_1)/V_2=(1(ba r) times 500dm^3)/(200dm^3)=2.5 ba r`
