(a ) Endosperm is a nutritive tissue . It provides nourishment to the developing embryo. In angiosperms endosperm is triploid and is formed after fertilization .
(b) In coconut two forms of endosperms are present . In the beginning the endosperm is in liquid state and in later stage it is in solid state . Liquid endosperm provides food for the development of zygote into embryo . solid endosperm provides food to the fully developed embryo for its future development .
