Calculate the number of electrons in one...

Calculate the number of electrons in one coulomb of negative charge.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According to the quantisation of charge q=ne
Here q= 1 C. So the number of electrons in 1 coulomb of charge is
`n=q/e = (1C)/(1.6 xx 10^(-19)) = 6.25 xx 10^(18)` electrons.
