The correct Answer is:
A

`2-`bromobutane on reaction with sodium ethoxide in ethanol gives `2-` butene as a mjor product.

This is according to Saytzeff's rule, `i.e.,` the predominnat product is the most substituted alkene, `i.e.` are carrying the largest number of alkyl substituents of hydrogen is eliminated preferentially from the carbon atom joined to the least number of hydrogen atoms.
`2-` butene is more stable than `1-` butene due to presence foo large number of hyperconjugating structure in `2-` butene.

(A) 2- Bromobutane on reaction with sodium ethoxide in ethanol gives 1-butene as a major product. (R) 1-Butene is less stable than 2-butene.

Asssertion : 2-Bromobutane on reacting with sodium ehtoxide. In ethanol gives but -1-ene as the major prodcut. Reason : But-1-ene is more stable than but-2-ene.

1 -Bromobutane is treated with sodium ethoxide in ethanol. The major product obrained is

A : When 2-fluoro butane is reacted with alcoholic KOH then butene-1 is formed as major product. R: Butene-2 is more stable than butene-1.
