The correct Answer is:
d

Let the amount with Ramesh and Suresh be Rs R and Rs S, respectively.
`R + S = 200` (1)
If Ramesh gives Rs 40 to Suresh, then Ramesh would have Rs `(R -40)` and Suresh would have `Rs S + 40`
The amounts with both would then get interchanged.
`:.R - 40 = S and S + 40 = R`
These equations are the same. solving one of these along with Eq. `(1), R = 120 and S = 80`.
Hence, the correct option is (d)
