Explain the following principles of management:
(a) Harmony, not discord
(b) Discipline.

Explanation

(1.) HARMONY, NOT DISCORD. In every organization there are two groups of people i.e. “workers' and 'management' and both always feel dissatisfied with each other. Workers always feel that they are overburdened and are underpaid. Management always feels that workers are good for nothing and are paid unnecessarily.



(2.)“Discipline means sincerity, obedience, respect of authority & observance of rules and regulations of the enterprise”. This principle applies that subordinate should respect their superiors and obey their order. It is an important requisite for smooth running of the enterprise.
