Why is the voice of children more shrill than that of adults'? Explain.

The vocal cord of a man is about 20 mm long and it is about 5 mm shorter in women than in men. Children have very short vocal cords, and hence, the frequency of their voice is higher. Hence, the voices of children are shriller than that of adults.
