(i) Area of the square `={(1)/(2) xx("diagonal")^(2)}"sq units."`
`=((1)/(2) xx24xx24)cm^(2)=288 cm^(2)`.
(ii) Side of the square `=sqrt(288)cm =sqrt(144xx2) cm `
`=12sqrt(2)cm =(12xx1.41) cm = 16.92 cm `
`therefore ` Perimeter of the square `=(4xx16.92) cm = 67.68` cm
