The graph of y=2 is a straight line AB drawn at a distance of 2 units above the x-axis and parallel to the x-axis.
Clearly , the points (0,0) satisfies the inequation `y lt 2` so, we shade that of the plane divided by AB which contains the origin O (0,0), excluding AB
The shaded part of the plane froms the solution set to the inequation, `y lt 2 ` as shown below.
