Sodium chloride solution freezes at lower temparature than water but boils at higher temparature than water . Explain.

Because when non-volatile solutes are added, e.g. -NaCl to water, the number of water molecules available to become vapourise /freeze decreases due to impurity. As a result, the solution freezes at a lower temperature and boils at a higher temperature.
