What is the effect of temperature on ionic porduct of water and why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Ionic product of water `(K_(w))` increases with increase of temperature because `K_(w)=[H_(3)O^(+)][OH^(-)] and ` dissociation of `H_(2)O` to give `H_(3)O^(+)` and `OH^(-)` increases with increase of temperature.
