When is the P.E. and K.E. of a harmonic oscillator maximum and what are these maximum values?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The P.E. of a harmonic oscillator is maximum at extremen positions and K.E. of the harmonic oscillatore is maximum at the mean position. The maximum value of P.E. or K.E. is equal to total energy `(=(1)/(2)momega^(2)a^(2))`
