What is the speed of light in glass of refractive index `1.5` ? Given speed of light in water is `2.25 xx 10^8 m//s` and refractive index of water is `1.3`.

`v_w = 2.25 xx 10^8 m//s`
As `(v_g)/(v_w) = (mu_w)/(mu_g) = (1.3)/(1.5)`
`:. v_g = (1.3)/(1.5) v_w = (13 xx 2.25 xx 10^8)/(1.5)`
`= 1.95 xx 10^8 m//s`.
