Refer .for what value of `R` (in ohm) will the current in galvanmeter `G` be zero

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
7

When the currect through galvanometer is zero,
then pot diff across `R Omega = 7 V`
pot diff across `5 Omega= 12 - 7= 5 V`
current in `5 Omega` = (5)/(5) = 1A`
Resistance, `R = (7)/(1)= 7 Omega `
