(i) `SO_(3)` is an acidic oxide because it dissolves in water to form `H_(2)SO_(4)` (acid) and also forms a salt with `NaOH` (base). ,
`SO_(3) +H_(2)O to H_(2) SO_(4)`
`SO_(3) +2NaOH to Na_(2)SO_(4) +H_(2)O`
(ii) `Na_(2)O` is basic oxide because it dissolves in water to form NaOH (base) and also forms a salt with HCI (acid)
`Na_(2)O +H_(2)O to 2NaOH`
`Na_(2)O + 2HCI to 2NaCI +H_(2)O`
