Give reasons in two or three sentences only for the following
"The species`[CuCl_(4)]^(2-)` exists, while`[CuI_(4)]^(2-)` does not" .

Iodide `(I^-)` ion is stronger reducing agent than chloride `(CI^-)` ion and therefore, reduces `Cu^(2+)` to `Cu^+`. As a result, `CuI_2` is converted into CuI and hence `[CuI_4]^(2-)` does not exist.
