Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Our eyes can detect both nearby and faraway objects due to the presence of ciliary muscles around the eye lens. The ciliary muscles adjust the thickness of eye lens by stretch ing and contracting. This makes it possi ble for the eye lens to form images of both nearby and faraway objects on the retina This property of the eye is called its power of accommodation.
