Volume of vessel A is twice the volume o...

Volume of vessel A is twice the volume of vessel B. Both are filled with the same gas. If gas in A is at twice the temerature and twice the pressure to the gas in B, what is the ratio of gas molecules in A and B ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

As `PV = nRT, n=(PV)/(RT)`
if `n_(B) = (PV)/(RT) , n_(A) = (2 P2V)/(R(@T)) = (2 PV)/(RT) = 2n_(B)`
`:. (n_A)/(n_B) = 2/1`.
