Tips to Prepare Class 10 Syllabus

The officials have released the examination date for the CBSE 10th class. The exams will begin on February 15, 2025, and close on March 18, 2025. CBSE holds exams at different national centres for all students enrolled with CBSE. 

The CBSE Class 10 board examinations are an important milestone in each student's educational career. Knowing the subjects covered and the syllabus for each subject is essential to scoring higher in the class 10 board exams. In this article, students can overview the syllabus of CBSE Class 10 so that they can plan their studies accordingly.

1.0Study the entire syllabus for all your subjects

Reading Section: Comprehension passages, note-making, and summarization.

Writing Skills: Letter writing, article writing, story writing, and descriptive writing.

For some subjects, students also have to do practical work. These are:

  • Science Practical: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology experiments.
  • Information Technology (IT): Computer programming and software practical sessions.
  • Physical Education: Physical education, fitness, and health awareness.

3.0Know the Exam Structure and Marking Scheme

  • Theory Exam: For every subject, students will have a theory exam which will carry 80 marks.
  • Internal Assessment: 20 marks will be given for internal assessment, which comprises regular tests, assignments, and project work.

4.0Additional Tips for Preparation

  1. Time Management: Plan to study time for every subject of its difficulty level.
  2. Refer to NCERT Books: NCERT books given by CBSE are the standard reference books of study material.
  3. Practice Previous Year Papers: Practice the previous year's question papers to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and enhance your time management.
  4. Strength the Weak Areas: Spend more time on the subjects or topics which are weak areas for you.
