3.0CUET (UG) 2025 Physics Preparation Strategies

Physics, being a vast and intricate subject, requires strategic planning for exam preparation. With increasing competition in CUET UG, one needs to have an effective study plan if one wants to get into their desired college.

  1. Know The Syllabus & Exam Pattern: Always begin by thoroughly reviewing the physics CUET syllabus and sample questions to understand the structure of the examination. It will help candidates organise their preparation plans accordingly.
  2. Know The Important Chapters & Topics: Learn the section-wise weightage to understand the topics that carry more importance. It is also important to organise your study plan according to one’s weaknesses and strengths. One needs to prioritise the weak areas and look for ways to utilise the strengths.
  3. Time Management: Time management is the most important tool of CUET UG. With limited time and a vast amount of questions that carry negative marks, it is important to understand how to utilise time both in the preparation stage and during the exam.
  4. Keep Notes : It is important to keep organised notes on topics for key concepts, theories, diagrams, and formulas to efficiently study for CUET UG. They also help immensely during revision.
  5. Practice & Solve Mock Tests: After completing the syllabus, one should practice the sample papers or take mock tests to identify areas that require improvement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Topics such as electrostatics, current electricity, magnetic effects of current, and magnetism carry the highest weightage in the syllabus and, therefore, should be prioritised more.

It is important to solve the CUET UG question papers of the past year to get a clear understanding of exam patterns, question types, and difficulty levels.

One can start by having a thorough understanding of the syllabus and exam pattern. Habits like keeping notes, time management, and regular revision can be really useful in the long run. Practising sample papers and papers from past years is a good way to understand the challenges of this exam.

The question paper would have a total of 50 questions, out of which 40 questions need to be answered.

The difficulty level of the CUET physics exam is typically considered moderate to high. It tests concepts from the 11th and 12th grade NCERT syllabus.
