CUET UG Application Process 

CUET UG 2025 is approaching, and the time to start your journey toward India’s top universities is now! The Common Universities Entrance Test, or CUET UG, is the cornerstone for achieving your career and academic goals. The application process for CUET UG shall begin in the last week of February 2025, to ensure that you fill out the application form without any mistakes, we have brought you this guide. In this guide, we will take you through the complete registration process, the step-by-step application process of CUET, and the documents needed while filling out the form.

1.0Required Documents During CUET 2025 Application Process 

Make sure you have the scanned images of the following documents before you start to fill out your application form to avoid any discrepancies: 

  1. A recent passport-sized photograph of the candidate which can either be in colour or black or white with 80% face visible with ears against a white background. 
  2. The scanned images of the photograph & signature must be in JPG/JPEG format. 
  3. The image size for the scanned photograph of the candidate should be between 10kb and 200 kb without blur. 
  4. The size of the scanned signature should be between 4kb to 30 kb. 
  5. PwD or category certificate in the pdf format with pdf size of 50kb to 300kb. 

2.0CUET UG 2025 Registration Process 

Before you begin to fill out your CUET application process, it is necessary to fill out the registration form by following these steps: 

  1. Official Website of the NTA: Go to the official website of the National Testing Agency of CUET UG or directly click on the link: nta.ac.in/cuetexam 
  2. Read the Instructions: Now click on the registration tab displayed on the screen. Please read the instructions given on the screen before beginning. 
  3. Application Process: By agreeing to the terms and conditions, you will be redirected to the registration form.  The candidates need to supply the required details while filling out the registration form and are also required to create a PASSWORD, choose Security Question, and enter their Answers.  
  4. OTP Verification: After submission of the form you will be taken to another page for verification of OTP. Enter the OTP and Capcta for the final submission of the registration form. 
  5. Generation of Application Number: After the final submission, you get your CUET UG Application Number.  

3.0Step-by-Step CUET UG Application Process

After you are done with the registration process it is time to fill out the application form. Follow the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1. Login: Login using the credentials created during the registration process, that is, the application number and Password you created. Enter the captcha shown on the screen. 

Step 2. Fill out the Application Form: This section includes filling in other personal details in the online application form. These personal details include: 

  • Personal details
  • Address
  • Quota details (if applicable)
  • Qualification details of class 10th or equivalent
  • Qualification details of class 12th or equivalent
  • Examination centre details: Preference 1 & Preference 2
  • University/program selection: University and program name
  • Test paper/subject selection: Upto Five test paper and medium of each test paper
  • Uploading of documents (mentioned above)

Step 3. Preview the Form: After filling out the application form, applicants are required to preview their application form to check for any errors, if any, before the final submission. 

Step 4. Fee Payment of CUET UG: After previewing your application form, you have to pay the requisite examination fee. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. Processing charges and GST, as applicable, are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway. 

Step 5. Download the CUET UG Application Form: After paying the application fee, you will be able to download or take out the print of the application form for future reference. 

4.0CUET UG Correction Form 2025

The NTA will provide a chance to rectify mistakes in the CUET form 2025. The CUET application form correction window will open after the registration process is over. The registered candidates shall be able to edit their details in the CUET UG 2025 application form in the first week of April 2025. They have to pay some extra amount to rectify the application form. It would be a time facility. Hence, candidates must enter the details carefully.

6.0Mistakes to Avoid

Although you will be given a chance to correct the CUET UG application form after the final submission, It is advised to fill out the form carefully and avoid the following mistakes: 

  • Inaccurate Personal Data: Always confirm your name, date of birth, and other contact information in case there may be a difference that may take longer to be processed.
  • Upload Incorrect Documents: All the required documents such as your photo and signature, must have the correct size, format, and clarity for it not to be rejected or delayed.
  • Missed Application Fee Payment: Upon completion of the form, check if the application fee is actually paid or not, and always have the payment confirmation receipt.
  • Wrong Course or University Chosen: Ensure the eligibility criteria match your academic background and aspirations before choosing courses and universities.
  • Late Submission: Ensure to submit your application well before the deadline to avoid last-minute problems and ensure the successful processing of your application.
