CUET (UG) 2025

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an annual national-level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to various undergraduate (UG) programs at central universities under the Ministry of Education, and other participating universities, institutions, organizations or autonomous colleges. Taking the CUET is mandatory for students seeking admission to these universities. CUET 2025 is tentatively scheduled for May 15 to May 24, 2025, in about 13 languages across 380 cities, including 26 outside India. We recommend checking the official NTA website to get the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Key Changes for CUET 2025:  

  • The exam will be conducted exclusively in CBT mode.
  • The number of subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37.

3.0CUET UG Exam Pattern 2025

*Please Note: Each test paper will last 45 minutes except for the Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science/Informatics Practices, and General Tests, which will last 60 minutes.

4.0CUET 2025 Marking Scheme

The CUET (UG) 2025 marking scheme as per NTA is as follows:

For every correct answer

5 marks (+5)

For any incorrect answer

Deduction of one mark (-1)

Unanswered Questions

No mark

If more than one option is found correct

5 marks (+5) will be awarded to those who have marked any of the correct options.

If all options are found correct

5 marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

If none of the options is found correct

All candidates who have attempted the dropped question will receive 5 marks (+5).

5.0CUET (UG) 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the CUET(UG) eligibility criteria NTA sets for admission to undergraduate courses before filling out their application form. The eligibility parameters are as follows:

  • The students who have completed their class 12 or equivalent exam can apply for the CUET 2025 exam. 
  • Students in class 12 who still need to take their board exam can also apply.
  • Candidates must be Indian citizens to be eligible for the CUET Entrance test.
  • There is no specific age limit for the CUET 2025 Entrance exam; however, candidates must meet any age criteria set by the University/Institution/ Organization to which they wish to apply.

6.0How to Register for CUET 2025?

The application process for CUET UG 2025 will be entirely online. Interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to apply. Registration for CUET 2025 will open on the official website in the last week of February 2025.

Steps for CUET UG Registration

Step 1: Register by providing your personal details such as name, date of birth, email address, phone number, etc. Create a strong password and verify your email address and mobile number.

Step 2: Fill out the application form using the application number and pre-created password.

Step 3: Upload the required documents, scanned photograph and signature.

Step 4: Pay the application fee online via debit/credit card, net banking, Paytm, or UPI.

8.0Documents Needed for CUET (UG) 2025 Registration

The students need the following documents to fill in the CUET application form 2025.

  • Birth certificate.
  • Category certificate.
  • Scanned image of your photograph and signature.
  • Photo identity proof [Aadhar Card/Bank Passbook/ Ration Card].
  • Debit/Credit card or Internet banking details for application fee payment.

Candidates can download their CUET 2025 admit card by visiting the official website. Below are steps to download the CUET admit card 2025:

  • Visit the official website- cuetug.ntaonline.in/https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG
  • Click on the log in/sign in tab
  • Enter the CUET 2025 application number and password
  • Click on the tab "CUET 2025 Admit Card Download"
  • Download the admit card in PDF format and take a printout.

11.0CUET UG Result 2025

The CUET result 2025 will be declared at the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. The results are expected to be declared tentatively in the last week of June 2025.

Follow below steps to check your result:

  • Visit the official website: cuet.nta.nic.in/
  • Click on the link "CUET UG Result 2025" link.
  • Enter your application number and date of birth.
  • Your result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and save your scorecard for future reference.

12.0CUET 2025 Counselling

Each participating institute will conduct the CUET 2025 counselling process individually and release merit lists after the CUET (UG) results are announced. Candidates can join any institution's counselling and admission process, regardless of their original application.

Some programs may require interviews instead of standard counselling, with details available in the CUET 2025 information brochure.
