CUET UG Exam Day Guidelines 

Going to take the CUET UG Exam in 2025? Then, it’s time to get ready for the big day! Preparing for the Common University Entrance Test UG exam is essential to kickstart your academic journey. Still, it is also important to be prepared well for the CUET UG exam day itself, as a small mistake can ruin your whole year. 1.0CUET Exam Day Instructions & Guidelines

The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases CUET(UG) exam day guidelines every year, which include what to bring and what things to consider before going to the exam hall; some of them are as follows: 

  1. Dress Code: 
  • Candidates should not wear light clothes with full or long sleeves to the exam venue. 
  • The students who need to wear cultural or customary clothing or any other items must visit the Examination venue an hour before their reporting time so that the authorities, as well as candidates, get proper time for the checking of candidates. 
  • Refrain from wearing shoes; wear slippers or sandals with minimum heels in place. 
  • In case of unforeseen circumstances like some medical emergency please contact the National Testing Agency before the release of your admit card. 
  1. Timings: 

It is advised to all the candidates to reach the exam center well in time which is one and a half hours before the start of the examination. The timings for the exam day will be released by the NTA before the start of the exam, so keep visiting the official website of CUET UG. 

  1. Things to Carry for CUET UG 2025 

CUET UG 2025 Admit Card: A physical copy of the admit card or hall ticket is a must for entry into the examination hall, so make sure to take 2 to 3 printouts of your admit card to avoid the last-minute hassle. Also, make sure to read the following details on your admit card carefully: 

  • Your Name and address
  • Center address 
  • Reporting time at the exam centre
  • Centre gate closing time
  • Exam date
  • Test and shift timing

Other than the CUET UG 2025 admit card, candidates are also required to bring the following documents: 

  1. The Self Declaration form can be downloaded from the official NTA website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) and must be duly filled in.
  2. Original photo ID card, such as a school Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Passport/ Voter ID/ Aadhaar Card (with photograph)/E-Aadhaar with clear photo/ Ration Card with clear photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with clear photograph/ Bank Passbook with clear Photograph.
  3. One passport-size photo (same as uploaded while filling the Online Application Form) is required to be pasted in the specific space provided in the Attendance Sheet at the Centre during the examination.
  4. PwBD certificate issued by any authorised medical officer if claiming the relaxation under the PwBD category or PwBD Certificate regarding physical limitation in an examination to write as per Annexures given in Information Bulletin if claiming the relaxation under the PwBD category.

2.0Important Instructions for the Aspirants 

  1. If the candidates do not report in time due to any reason, such as traffic jams, any delay due to buses or trains, etc., they are most likely to miss some of the important instructions that might be announced in the Examination Rooms. The NTA will not be responsible for any such delays.
  2. Candidates will NOT be allowed to enter their respective examination venues after the closing of the gate. So, always reach the centre before the time mentioned on the admit card. 
  3. The candidate must show the Admit Card printed from the NTA website for admission in the examination room/hall demanded by the concerned authorities, that is, the Test Centre staff on duty. 
  4. Any candidate who does not have a valid Admit Card or Photo ID proof will not be allowed to take the examination under any circumstances by the Superintendent of the centre.
  5. A seat indicating Roll Number will be allotted to each candidate, and needed to sit in their allocated seats only. In case a candidate wants to change his/her seat or does not sit on the seat allotted to him/her can face cancellation of candidature. 
  6. The candidate must first ensure that the Question Paper shown on the computer screen is as per his/her chosen subject indicated in the Admit Card. If the Question paper's subject is other than his/her selected subject, then the same must be reported to the notice of the concerned Invigilator.
  7. The candidates can approach the Centre Superintendent or Invigilator in the room for any technical assistance related to the computer, first aid emergency, or any other information during the examination. For any issues regarding the Test, the candidates can contact Helpline Numbers available on the official website of NTA.
  8. For aspirants who are not able to appear on the scheduled date of the test for any reason, there will not be a re-test by the NTA under any circumstances.
  9. All calculations or any work should be done only on the Rough Sheets provided by the Test Centre in the Examination Room/Hall, and candidates must hand over the used/unused Rough Sheets to the Invigilator after the CUET exam is over.

3.0Things to Keep in Mind 

  1. Stay Updated: Keep visiting the official website of NTA so as not to miss any updates regarding the CUET 2025 Exam Day Instructions and Guidelines. 
  2. Things not to carry in the Exam Hall: Candidates shall not be permitted to bring the following items to the Examination Hall:
  • Calculator
  • Logarithm table
  • Electronic gadgets
  • Mobile phones
  • Shoes/footwear with thick soles & garments with large buttons will not be allowed.
  • Blank paper sheets for rough work.
