The JEE Advanced exam is conducted only in online mode. The students have to take the exam on the computer. The questions will be multiple-choice type, so there is no problem.

The students will be given three hours for each of the two papers of JEE Advanced 2026. The exam will be computer-based, and students should keep track of time to ensure that they complete the exam on time and that they have answered the questions they solved.

There is a negative marking for some of the sections. For instance, in MCQs, one mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

There are three types of questions in the JEE exam, i.e., Numerical questions, MCQs, and Integer questions. Students must answer carefully as there will be negative markings for the wrong answers to MCQs and integer questions.
