Criteria 4: Class 12th exam appearance - Candidates need to appear for the class 12th or equivalent exam for the first time in 2024 or 2025. Candidates who attempted to write class 12 or equivalent exam in 2023 or prior are not allowed to appear for JEE Advanced 2025. However, an exception can be if a one-time special measure is provided. 

Criteria 5: Previous admission at IIT - Candidates whose admission at any IIT was cancelled (regardless of the reason) after joining are not allowed to attempt JEE Advanced 2025. However, candidates who were admitted to a preparatory course in any IIT in 2024 for the first time can attempt to write the JEE Advanced 2025 exam.
