Criterion 2 - Number of Attempts Allowed

Candidates are limited to a maximum of two attempts in two consecutive years for the JEE Advanced exam. No candidate would be allowed to sit for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam more than twice in two consecutive years. This practice has been consistent for several years and is expected to remain the same for the upcoming JEE Advanced 2025 exam.

Criterion 3 - Age Limit

The eligibility criteria for IIT JEE, which include age limits and age relaxation for certain categories, are based on the most current information available. Candidates born on or after 1st October 2000 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. Candidates in the PwD, ST, or SC categories are granted a 5-year relaxation in the age limit criteria, making those born on or after 1st October 1995 eligible for JEE Advanced 2025.

However, it's essential to remain updated with any changes in these criteria of age limit for IIT JEE Advanced 2025 that may occur after the official release of the notification for JEE Advanced 2025 by the conducting authority.

Criterion 4 - Previous Admissions at IITs

Candidates who have already been admitted to an IIT or ISM are not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025. This includes candidates who were admitted to an IIT but subsequently expelled or rejected.

However, candidates who were first-time enrolled in a preparation programme at any of the IITs in 2024 may sit for the JEE Advanced exam in 2025. If a candidate got selected and given a seat in any IIT via the JoSAA 2024, however, was

(a) Not able to report at the “official reporting center” or online,

(b) Canceled before the last round of allocating seats, or

(c) Withdraw before the last round of allocating seats, then they are eligible to give the JEE Advanced 2025 exam.

Criterion 5 - Having Appeared in the Examination for Class 12 or Equivalent

  • Candidates who have appeared for the class 10+2 examination in 2024 and 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects are eligible for the JEE Advanced 2025 Exam.
  • Candidates who had appeared in the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to participate in JEE (Advanced) 2025, regardless of the combination of subjects they attempted or offered.
  • However, candidates from that Board who took the Class XII (or equivalent) exam in 2023 are also eligible to take the JEE (Advanced) 2025 exam, as long as they fulfil all other eligibility requirements, if the examination board for that class announced the results for the academic year 2022–2023 on or after September 21, 2023. If the results for the academic year 2022–2023 were announced by the Class XII (or equivalent) Examination Board before September 21, 2023, and a candidate's results were withheld for any reason, that candidate will not be eligible to take the JEE (Advanced) 2025 exam.

To become JEE Advanced eligible, the candidate must also satisfy the requirements outlined in Criteria 1 through Criteria 5 in each of the mentioned situations.

Candidates who meet the above 5 criteria are eligible to complete the JEE Advanced 2025 application form. For those in search of a top JEE coaching institute, ALLEN is an excellent choice.
