Policy on Mid-Session Adoption of Updated NCERT Syllabus

(Applicable from Academic Session 2026–27)

Objective

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is constantly updating the curriculum of the school textbooks in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

This policy outlines a timeline for the review and revision of learning content, offered to students, whose schools adopt the updated NCERT syllabus at the start of academic session or mid-session.

It ensures that all instructional components - including live online classes, recorded lectures, and study materials (Soft copy & printed study material) - remain fully aligned with the latest NCERT syllabus.

Through this policy, ALLEN Career Institute Pvt Ltd. reiterates its commitment to provide accurate, updated, and pedagogically strong content that nurtures conceptual clarity and builds a sound base for future competitive examinations.

Policy Guidelines

1. Live Classes

  • Will be aligned to the updated syllabus within 15–20 days of release on the NCERT website.
  • If required, batches will be splitted into “old syllabus” & “new syllabus” groups based on inputs received from students.

2. Study Material

  • Soft Copy: The updated study material soft copy will be released in phases, beginning approximately 45 days after the updated syllabus is confirmed on the NCERT website. Depending on the scope of the changes, the remaining material will be provided within four months of the release of the first phase.
  • Hard Copy: Will be distributed as per specific timelines mentioned below in Illustrative Framework.

3. Recorded Content

  • Recorded Lectures: Will be released in parts according to the given timelines (refer Illustrative Framework)
  • Study Material: Soft copy and hard copy will be released as per timelines (refer Illustrative Framework).

4. Cut-off Policy

  • If in case NCERT releases updated books very late in the academic year (post Oct/Nov), then only soft copy material support will be provided in parts after ~45 days from the release of updated syllabus, for the same academic session due to academic and operational constraints.
  • Updates will instead be rolled into the next academic session.
