The JEE Main 2024 Counselling, conducted by JoSAA, is scheduled for 10 June 2024 and will consist of six rounds. Candidates with valid JEE Main 2024 scores can participate to secure admission to BTech programs at NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
Candidates must register online and specify their preferred institutes and branches to join the counselling process.
Qualified candidates from JEE Main 2024 can vie for admission to various institutes, while JEE Advanced rank holders will also be considered for IIT admission via JoSAA. This process covers admission to multiple prestigious institutions and is facilitated through JoSAA counselling. Seat allocation depends on candidates' preferences provided during registration. Before proceeding, candidates should carefully review JoSAA's eligibility criteria.
The JEE Main Counselling 2024 involves three processes:
JoSAA: This is the combined counselling for candidates who qualify for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JoSAA alone allots the seats available in 110 engineering institutes, including various IITs, IIITs, NITs, and other GFTIs.
CSAB NEUT: This is the counselling held for supernumerary seats available in the North Eastern states and Union Territories. It is organised by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
CSAB SFTI: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) conducts this counselling process separately for 18 SFTIs (Self Financing Technical Institutes). The allocation of seats is strictly based on the order of preference given by the applicants based on their JEE Main AIR in Papers I and II, respectively.
The examination conducting authority has announced the dates for JEE Main Counselling 2024. Candidates qualified in the JEE Main 2024 exam must participate in the JoSAA counselling process for admission to all participating institutions based on their JEE Main exam results. Additionally, JoSAA will facilitate the admission of JEE Advanced ranked applicants to the IITs.
The choices made by candidates during JoSAA 2024 registration will determine the number of seats they are allocated. Before engaging in the counselling procedure, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria set forth by JoSAA.
