10.0Preparation Tips for the CBSE Class 10 Exam

  1. Understand the syllabus: Go through the official CBSE syllabus and know what chapters and topics are included. This helps in better planning and preparation.
  2. Create a study schedule: Divide your study time across all subjects to ensure that nothing is left out. Include short breaks (5-10 minutes) with at least one revision slot a day.
  3. Solve previous year papers: Try completing one full paper in exam time (3 hours) and then check your answers. This helps in improving speed and accuracy.
  4. Use sample papers: CBSE changes the paper pattern slightly each year. Solving official sample papers helps you become comfortable with new formats and patterns.
  5. Write neat answers: Practice writing clear, logical, and structured answers with proper headings and steps. Use appropriate steps in mathematics, neatly labelled diagrams in science, and clear points in social science, to name a few.
  6. Focus on weaker chapters: Identify chapters you find challenging and give them extra time. Don't avoid them. Break them down into smaller chunks and study them slowly. Use notes, videos, or the teacher’s help if needed.
  7. Stay healthy: Be sure to get enough sleep, eat well, and do light exercise. A healthy body gives you a sharp mind.
  8. Stay Confident: Stay calm, focused, and confident in your preparation.
