ALLEN Online Scholarship Test

Terms and Conditions

"Allen" or “We” offers both to its students currently enrolled in any Allen Online programs and those desirous to enroll (“Candidates” or “You”) the opportunity to participate in the Allen Online Scholarship test (the “AOSAT”). By registering for and participating in the AOSAT, the You agree to bound by these AOSAT Terms and Conditions, along with these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Terms”). If You does not agree to these Terms, the Candidate is not authorized to register or participate in the AOSAT in any other manner. Candidates may also not participate in the AOSAT where doing so would be prohibited by any applicable law or regulations.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to participate in the AOSAT, Candidates must meet the following requirements:
Candidate must have completed the necessary educational qualifications as required by Allen.
Candidate must comply with all registration procedures as detailed in the Allen’s official AOSAT instructions.
Failure to meet eligibility requirements will result in disqualification from the AOSAT.

REGISTRATION

Candidates eligible for the AOSAT must complete the registration process by submitting the required personal information and documents as specified in the official guidelines. Eligible Candidates must register themselves on www.allen.in and the ALLEN mobile application within the registration deadline in order to participate in the AOSAT, with no exceptions provided on the timelines
All submitted information must be accurate and truthful. Allen reserve the right to disqualify any Candidate’s participation in the AOSAT at any time at its sole discretion, including without limitation if he/she does not comply with any of these Terms, engages in any form of misconduct, submits any false or incorrect documentation, or otherwise fails to comply with any applicable laws.
Registration includes payment of the registration fees (“Fees”). The Candidate acknowledges and agrees that (i) any issue with payment of the Fees may result in the Candidate’s disqualification from AOSAT, and (ii) the Fees is non-refundable.

EXAM FORMAT AND CONDUCT

The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions. Allen reserves the right to modify the exam format and content at any time prior to the exam date.
The exam will take place on www.allen.in and the ALLEN mobile application from 12:00 p.m. till 01:00 p.m. on the below mentioned dates:
16th February 2025
23rd February 2025
Candidates are solely responsible for having access to the necessary equipment and technology to participate in the AOSAT.
Candidates must adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity during the exam. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or dishonest behavior, including unauthorized access to materials or collaboration with other candidates, will result in immediate disqualification from the AOSAT and the scholarship program without any refund of the Fees.
All electronic devices, such as mobile phones, tablets, and smartwatches (except those necessary to take the exam) must be turned off and stored away during the exam unless otherwise instructed.
Allen reserves the right to remove any candidate from the Exam for violating any of the rules outlined in these Terms.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT

Exam scholarship benefit will be communicated to candidates.
Allen reserves the right to modify the evaluation or grading process at its discretion, without prior notice.
The decision of the Allen regarding the AOSAT scholarship benefit and scholarship awardees is final and binding. No appeals will be accepted.

DISQUALIFICATION

Allen reserves the right to disqualify any Candidate from the AOSAT or the scholarship program, without any refund of Fees, for reasons including without limitaion:
Failure to comply with these Terms.
Providing false or misleading information.
Engaging in any form of dishonesty, misconduct or immoral acts during the exam.
Violating any rules or regulations set forth by Allen or
If required under any applicable law.
Sharing of login credentials.
Breach of Allen’s confidential information or misappropriation of Allen’s Content.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION

By participating in the AOSAT, the You consent to the collection, processing, and storage of the Candidates personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The personal data of the Candidate will be used by Allen solely for the purposes of administering the AOSAT, including without limitation to (i) determine the Candidate’s eligibility to participate in the AOSAT; (ii) create login credentials for the Candidate to take the exam; (iii) award scholarships to those meet the rewards criteria; (iv) verify payment of the Fees; and (v) other critical purposes necessary for the Candidate’s participation in the AOSAT. You acknowledge that the personal data of the Candidate may be shared (i) only with third parties that Allen uses to conduct the AOSAT exam, or (ii) as required by law, and You hereby consent to the same.
Candidate agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any confidential information or Content related to the AOSAT exam, and such obligations of confidentiality shall survive post the Candidate’s participation in the AOSAT.

ALLEN MATERIALS

Allen’s online platform and the AOSAT (including without limitation the question paper) contain content that includes: designs, text, graphics, images, video, information, logos, button icons, software, audio files, computer code, questions, and other content (collectively, "Content"). As between Candidate and Allen, all Content is the property of Allen or its licensors and is protected under copyright, trademark, and other laws. The compilation (meaning the collection, arrangement, and assembly) of all Content on Allen’s online platform or the AOSAT is the exclusive property of Allen or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

INDEMNITY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By participating in the AOSAT and by agreeing to these Terms, You expressly agree:
To be bound by these Terms, and the decisions of Allen;
Allen is not responsible for any technical issues, such as internet outages or equipment malfunctions, that may prevent a Candidate from taking or completing the exam.
Neither Allen, nor its affiliates, or their respective officers, directors, employees, and contractors of Allen shall not be liable to You for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if Allen was advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the participation or inability to participate in the AOSAT; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute goods or services for damages resulting from any goods, data, information or services obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through, from, or as a result of participating in the AOSAT ; (iii) unauthorized access, use, misuse or alteration of the Candidate’s personal data; (iv) statements or conduct of any third party; or (v) any other matter relating to the AOSAT.
To defend, indemnify, release and hold harmless Allen, its affiliates and subsidiaries, together with their respective employees, directors, officers, licensees, licensors, shareholders, attorneys and agents (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties"), from any and all claims, actions, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses caused by, arising out of, in connection with, or related to the Candidate’s participation in the AOSAT (including, without limitation, any property loss, damage, personal injury or death caused to any person(s) and/or the awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of the AOSAT or the scholarships awarded.

FORCE MAJEURE

Allen will not be held responsible for any delays or failures in the execution of the Exam due to events beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, pandemics, acts of terrorism, technical failures, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasigovernmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened terrorist acts, terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, tornado, tsunami, war (declared or undeclared), fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labour dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labour or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slowdown, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other similar or dissimilar cause beyond Allen’s control.

DISCLAIMERS

Allen disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with the AOSAT, and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the AOSAT should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other cause beyond Allen’s control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the AOSAT.
Allen reserves the right to cancel or suspend the AOSAT should Allen determine, in its sole discretion, that (i) the administration, security or fairness of the Program has been compromised in any way; or (ii) the AOSAT, in any way, violates applicable laws.

GOVERNING LAW

Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or related to the AOSAT or other scholarships awarded pursuant to the AOSAT or to these Terms shall, in all respects, be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of India. Candidate hereby agree to irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Bangalore, India.

MISCELLANEOUS

Allen reserves all rights to change these Terms, or the scholarship and rewards awarded under the AOSAT, at its sole discretion and without assigning any reason for the same. Modifications of these Terms will be effective from the time they are updated. By continuing to participate in the Exam, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Candidate and Allen concerning the Candidate’s participation in the AOSAT.
The failure of Allen to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, Allen and the Candidate acknowledges and agrees that the court should endeavor to give effect to the intentions reflected in the provision, and that the other provisions of these terms shall remain in full force and effect.
A person who is not a party to these Terms shall have no right to enforce or receive the benefit of any of these Terms.

ACKOWLEDGMENT

By registering for the AOSAT, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
