The order and degree of the differential...

The order and degree of the differential equation `((d^(3)y)/(dx^(3)))^(1/6) - ((dy)/(dx))^(1/3) =0` are respectively .

A

3, 2

B

2, 3

C

6, 3

D

3, 1

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

Given, differential Equation is
`((d^(2)y)/(dx^(3)))-((dy)/(dx))^(1//3)=0`
Taking sixth power on both sides, we get
`(d^(3)y)/(dx^(3))-((dy)/(dx))=0`
`:.` Order and degree of the differential eqaution is 3 and 1.
