The third law of thermodynomics states, The entropy of a perfect crystal is zero when the temperature of the crystal is equal to absolute zero (0k)
Applications of Standard molar Entropy:
1. `Delta s^(@)` for the reaction can be calculated by knowing the values of the reactants and the products
2. Under the same conditions of temperature and pressure the standard molar entropies of different substances can be compared
