Form the differential equation of the...

Form the differential equation of the family of curves `"y"="A e"^("B x")` where A and B are constants.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`y = Ae^(Bx)`
As there are tqo constants `A` and `B`,
we have to differentiate two times to get the differential equation.
`=>dy/dx = A*Be^(Bx)`
`=>dy/dx =B*Ae^(Bx)`
`=>dy/dx =By->(1)`
Now, `(d^2y)/dx^2 = Bdy/dx`
`=> B = ((d^2y)/dx^2)/(dy/dx)`
Putting value of `B` in (1),
