रेखाओं `y = x + 1, 3y = x + 5` तथा ` y = - x + 7` से घिरे क्षेत्र का क्षेत्रफल समाकलन विधि से निकालें ।

`Delta ABC` का क्षेत्रफल = क्षेत्रफल ABEBA + क्षेत्रफल BEFCB
- क्षेत्रफल ADFCA
AB का समीकरण है, y = x + 1
BC का समीकरण y = - x + 7
AC का समीकरण `y = (x)/(3) + (5)/(3)`
(2) और (3 ) को हल करने पर हमें मिलता है, x = 3 , `:.` OE = 3
(3) और (4) को हल करने पर हमें मिलता है, x = 4 , `:.` OF = 4
(2) और (4) को हल करने पर हमें मिलता है, x = 1 , `:.` OD = 1
अब क्षेत्रफल `ADEBA = int_(1)^(3) ydx = int_(1)^(3) (x + 1) dx`
`= [(x^(2))/(2) + x]_(1)^(3) = ((9)/(2) + 3) - ((1)/(2) + 1) = 6`
क्षेत्रफल `BEFCB = int_(3)^(4) ydx = int_(3)^(4) (-x + 7) dx = [-(x^(2))/(2) + 7x]_(3)^(4)`
`= (-8 + 28) - ((9)/(2) + 21) = (7)/(2)`
क्षेत्रफल `ADFCA = int_(1)^(4) ydx = int_(1)^(4) ((x)/(3) + (5)/(3)) dx = [(x^(2))/(6) + (5)/(3) x]_(1)^(4) = (15)/(2)`
(1) से,`Delta ABC` का क्षेत्रफल` =6 + (7)/(2) - (15)/(2) = 2` वर्ग इकाई
