Moment of concurrent forces about any point is constant.
If vector sum of all concurrent forces is zero, then moment of all the forces about any point is also zero.

A

If both Accertion and Reason are true and the reason is correct explanation of the Assertion.

B

If both Assertion and Reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of Assertion.

C

If Assertion is true, but the Reason is false.

D

The correct Answer is:
D

If vector sum of consurrent force is zero, then all forces can be assumed a pair of two equal and opposite forces acting at one point
`F_(1) = F_(2)`

Now, if we take moment about any general point `P`, then moment of `F_(1)` is clockwire and moment of `F_(2)` (of same magnitude) is anti-clockwire. Thererfore net moment is zero.
