In one dimensional elastic collison of equla masses, the velocities are interchanged. Can velocities ina one dimensional collision be interchanged if the masses are not equal?

`v_1^()'=((m_1-m_2)/(m_1+m_2))v_1+((2m_2)/(m_1+m_2))v_2`
We can see that `v_1^()'=v_2` only if `m_1=m_2`
Similarly `v_2^()'=v_1` is `m_1=m_2`.
